Impairment Rating (IR/MMI)

What is an Impairment Rating?

An Impairment Rating is a percentage that reflects the permanent loss of function in a specific body part or system. This rating plays a vital role in determining a worker’s eligibility for compensation benefits. At Ergo Rehab, we conduct impairment ratings in accordance with the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) guidelines, using the 4th, 5th, or 6th editions of the Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, as required.

We specialize in both state and federal cases—including those governed by the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP). OWCP impairment ratings are used for federal employees and follow strict standards to ensure accuracy and compliance. Whether your case is under Texas state law or the federal OWCP system, you can trust Ergo Rehab to provide objective, evidence-based assessments that support fair outcomes.
